Sasha's Favorite Youtubes

She's kind of big these days, and I don't like her music or what she does with her voice now. But this...this is intense and amazing. It's a home movie of her playing Dorothy in The Wiz at age 11. It's pretty fantastic. Wish I could do that. Listen, but prepare for chills.
WATCH.THIS.PERFORMANCE. This is Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner doing their famous Side Show performance at the Tony Awards. They blow me away. The whole album is awesome, but I make sure to watch this video at least once a month. Often much more. It's so simple. Two women in black on a blank stage, but it blows me away every.single.time.
Don't even need to watch. Just listen. Or maybe you should watch the movie "Meet The Robinsons" first. Best Disney movie in a long time. Severely under rated. Give it a chance. Bring tissues.
The ever amazing Ms. Gonzolas blows us away with humor and vocals on this. Backed up by Marty Thomas. Performance was done at Broadway Loves the 80s vol.3. Her voice makes me happy.
Any Mostly Sondheim regular knows "Diva Tag" very well. This was the first (and only??) time that Diva Tag was done with three people. The hilarious trio consists of Kate Pazakis, Marty Thomas, and Danny Calvert.
This has nothing to do with theatre, but it's my cat and his brother when they were kittens. It makes me laugh. I have one wicked random cat.
This has been my favorite song of hers for years upon years. She often says her mom once told her that her voice makes people's hearts sing. It's true with this song. Listen to the lyrics. She doesn't have to be your favorite for you to appreciate her writing ability.
In my opinion, he has the best male voice on...well, recently on Broadway. Anyone who missed him in Tale of Two Cities should at least watch this video. His performance SHOULD have won him a Tony. It was the biggest robbery since Judy Garland lost the Oscar for A Star Is Born to Grace Kelly for The Country Girl. Be open minded, stop only listening to crappy critics and give theatre a chance.
This woman isn't given nearly enough credit for her acting ability. Everyone knows she was great, but people focus on her voice (which is ridiculously fantastic) and her "issues". I bring you a video of a performance she created and was it was hilarious. "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes" from The Judy Garland Show. Do yourself a favor and watch this old gem. No one can do what she does.
Yup. It makes me happy.
Just watch, seriously. Friends and Sugar Ray will never be the same.
This is an absolutely hilarious parody of TMZ by the Broadway kings and queens of...well, Rock of Ages isn't really a parody, but they definitely make you laugh. Definitely worth checking out.
This was one of the first shows that I got sucked into and loved when I moved to the city. People who look down on it mostly haven't seen it, I've found. I was at this performance and met a good number of my friends there. Holds a special place in my heart.
